
Band of Brothers is a 10-part HBO miniseries produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, based on historian Stephen Ambrose's account of Easy Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne Division during World War II. Widely regarded as the finest war drama ever made for television, the show follows Easy Company from their brutal training at Camp Toccoa through D-Day, the Battle of the Bulge, and the discovery of a concentration camp, to VE Day. The production budget of $125 million — approximately $12.5 million per episode — was the largest in television history at the time. It won seven Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for Best Miniseries.
