Parts of both MC and FR allow a graphing calculator.
Four things the AP expects you to use a calculator for:
1. Graph a function in a viewing window
2. Find zeros (solve equations numerically)
3. Evaluate a definite integral numerically
4. Find the derivative at a point numerically
Store frequently used functions. On the TI-84: Y= menu. Store f in Y1, g in Y2.
Calculator traps:
Rounding too early (keep 3+ decimal places until final answer)
Wrong window (change xmin, xmax, ymin, ymax to see the full picture)
Forgetting to switch back to radians (trig functions default to degrees on some calculators)
Show your work. Even on calculator sections, write the integral or derivative expression. Don't just write a number.
