Computer Use is Anthropic's capability that lets Claude control a computer — moving a mouse, clicking, typing, and taking screenshots to complete tasks in any application.
What It Can Do

- Combine multiple apps in a single workflow
- Complete tasks that normally require a human at a computer
Current State
Computer Use is in beta — capable and impressive but not yet production-reliable for complex tasks. Error rates are still high enough to require human oversight.
Future Implication
When reliable, Computer Use enables AI agents that can operate any software ever built — a fundamental shift in what automation can achieve.
