Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) is Cursor's inline edit command — ask AI to modify selected code without leaving your editor context.

How to Use

  1. Select the code you want to change (or place cursor where you want to generate)
  2. Press Cmd+K
  3. Type your instruction in the popup
  4. Press Enter — changes appear as a diff
  5. Accept with Cmd+Shift+Y or reject with Cmd+Shift+N

Example Instructions

  • "Add error handling"

  • "Optimize this for performance"
  • "Add JSDoc comments"
  • "Refactor to use async/await"
