Esoteric — understood by only a small group
Eulogy — a speech praising someone (often deceased)
Exacerbate — to make worse
Exonerate — to clear from blame
Facilitate — to make easier
Fallacious — based on false reasoning
Fervid — intensely passionate
Frugal — economical, avoiding waste
Garrulous — excessively talkative
Word relationships: Erudite and esoteric both relate to knowledge but differently. An erudite person has broad knowledge. Esoteric knowledge is narrow and specialized. The GRE tests whether you understand these distinctions.
