Many MBA programs now accept both the GRE and GMAT.
Choose the GRE if:
You're applying to non-business graduate programs (or a mix)
You're stronger in vocabulary and reading
You want more flexibility in school choices
You're less comfortable with data sufficiency questions
Choose the GMAT if:
You're ONLY applying to business schools
You're strong in logic and data analysis
Your target schools have a historical GMAT preference
Key differences:
GRE tests vocabulary more heavily
GMAT has Data Sufficiency (unique question type)
GRE allows you to skip and go back within a section
GMAT does not let you go back
Research your programs. Some MBA programs publish median GRE AND GMAT scores. Compare where your practice scores fall.
