The LSAT is critical but it's not everything.
The formula: LSAT + GPA + Personal Statement + Letters of Rec + Softs
LSAT and GPA are roughly 80% of the decision at most schools.
Personal statement: Tell a genuine story. Why law? What drives you? Don't write what you think they want to hear. Be specific and personal.
Letters of recommendation: Academic references from professors who know you well beat prestigious names who barely know you.
Timing: Apply early. Rolling admissions means earlier applicants have more seats available. Aim for September-November of your application year.
Scholarships: A high LSAT can mean full tuition at schools one tier below your reach. A 170 at a T30 school often means a full ride — potentially better ROI than paying full price at a T14.
