Sequencing Games — Put Things in Order

The most common game type. 6-8 entities arranged in a line.

Setup: Draw dashes for positions: _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Write entities above: A B C D E F G

Common rules and how to diagram:

"A comes before B" → A...B (A somewhere left of B)

"C is immediately before D" → CD (block, always together)

"E is not first" → cross out E under position 1

"F and G are not adjacent" → ~FG and ~GF

After diagramming all rules: Make deductions. Look for entities that are heavily restricted. If A must be before B and B before C, A can't be 6th or 7th, and C can't be 1st or 2nd.

Strategy: Spend 3-4 minutes setting up. Good setup = fast questions. Bad setup = slow death.
