"The argument proceeds by..." or "Which describes the technique used?"

Common methods:

Providing a counterexample to a general claim

Drawing an analogy between two situations

Citing evidence that contradicts an opponent's position

Offering an alternative explanation for a phenomenon

Challenging the relevance of evidence cited

Strategy: Describe what the author DOES in your own words before looking at choices. Match your description.

Trap: Answers that describe what the argument is ABOUT rather than HOW the argument works. Content vs structure.
