Detox — What to Expect When Changing

When you shift from processed food to whole foods, the body releases stored toxins. This is normal.


Common symptoms (first 1–3 weeks): Headaches, fatigue, skin breakouts, irritability, sugar cravings, loose stools, body odor changes, vivid dreams.


This is NOT a sign to stop. It is a sign the body is cleaning house.


Support detox: Miso soup daily. Hot ginger baths. Gentle walking. Adequate sleep. Ume-sho-kuzu drink for fatigue.


Duration: Most symptoms pass in 7–14 days. Skin issues may take longer (1–2 months). Energy typically improves dramatically after the initial dip.
