A project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result. It has a defined beginning and end.
Project vs. Operations:
Project — temporary, unique, creates change (building a bridge)
Operations — ongoing, repetitive, maintains status quo (maintaining the bridge)
The triple constraint (Iron Triangle):
Scope — what is included
Time — when it must be done
Cost — how much can be spent
Change one → affects the others. Quality is sometimes added as a fourth constraint.
