Numbers 1–10

  • 1 — uno, 2 — dos, 3 — tres, 4 — cuatro, 5 — cinco
  • 6 — seis, 7 — siete, 8 — ocho, 9 — nueve, 10 — diez

Numbers 11–20

  • 11 — once, 12 — doce, 13 — trece, 14 — catorce, 15 — quince
  • 16 — dieciséis, 17 — diecisiete, 18 — dieciocho, 19 — diecinueve, 20 — veinte

Quick Tips

  • un before masculine nouns: un libro (one book)
  • una before feminine nouns: una mesa (one table)
  • Numbers 16–19 are one word containing the root diez
